Changing   the   Lives   of   Shelter   Pets

We love shelter pets!

We are Friends of MACC (Metro Animal Care and Control). Join us in caring for
the 8,000 animals entering our local shelter each year.

Happy Animals

Let’s make Nashville’s most vulnerable animals the happiest.

MACC, Davidson County’s only open intake shelter, welcomes every animal that needs help – regardless of species, breed, age, or health condition. We are a group of volunteers rallying around MACC to help enrich the lives of these animals, both during and after their stay at the shelter.

Happy People

Happy pets also make for happy people.

That’s why Friends of MACC wants the community involved too. We hope you’ll volunteer with us or make a donation to our cause. We’ll also bring helpful resources your way, so you might see us at your neighborhood dog park or a local pet-friendly event.

True Friendships

Happy pets and happy people make for true friendships.

Working together with MACC, we can save more shelter animals and build more long-lasting, loving relationships throughout our community.

Be a Friend!

MACC is Nashville's only open admission shelter: it helps any animal from within our community at any time. And nearly 7,000 homeless animals rely on MACC each year.

When you support Friends of MACC, you are showing your support for Nashville's homeless animals! And since we're a volunteer-based nonprofit, your donation goes directly to helping the shelter.
